The Dial
Light across a dark mare.
Graduated baguette diamonds trace a lunar crescent from twelve to five o'clock, catching light across the matte black grain of the mineral dial.
The Mineral
Ilmenite regolith simulant.
Ilmenite is an iron-titanium oxide abundant in the dark basaltic plains of the lunar maria.
Our dial uses a research-grade mare regolith simulant compounded on Earth to match the mineralogy and grain size of lunar soil, bound and sealed beneath flat sapphire.
Loose simulant sits on the table beside the watch during every viewing so you can examine the raw mineral alongside the finished dial.
At Nine O'Clock
The balance in motion.
A polished steel ring opens the west side of the dial, framing the oscillating balance assembly in deep relief against the dark regolith surface.
The Case
White metal.
A single row of round diamonds runs along the bezel and down the curved lugs, framing the mineral dial under a flat sapphire crystal.
Private Viewing
Shown at private gatherings.
Laniakea 'Luna' is shown in person by appointment and through existing patrons of the house.
